Who here has had a time where they were glad to see a bad co-worker get fired?

I won’t bore you with the details, but my employer once fired a guy who actually managed to be universally disliked by every employee working there. It’s a small company, so technically that’s not impossible to achieve, but damn it, it happened. And yeah, like with any employee that was fired, there was the usual gossip for a couple of days.

Didn’t really end there, though. We were so overjoyed with his termination that we actually had a BBQ cookout to celebrate. This is not a thing that we normally do. We’ve seen several firings, but none of them were as satisfying as this one. We just hated him so much that we had to do something about it. So we partied.

I’ve only seen one person get fired. It’s a rather short story. this guy had only been working there less than a day, maybe just a couple of hours even, and decided to do some hard drugs in the lumber yard. you know, around heavy machinery, heavy materials, and where customers could see him. he was very quickly escorted off the property after that, so quickly I never actually met him.
