It’s his very first single. Recorded in 1969, and released with a very limited pressing size (about 120).
And this is one of that limited set.

Wow! Congrats!
This is awesome! Congrats on the find!
SIMCON starts this evening!!! We’ve been working really hard to make it even better than last year.
The ICC has issued an arrest warrant for a certain former KGB agent. They’ve basically charged him with mass kidnapping for the forced deportation of Ukrainian children into Russia.
If he travels to a country where ICC jurisdiction is recognized, he’s boned.
If only. Unfortunately there are many ICC warranted individuals who have travelled to ICC countries and left unmolested.
He’s the leader of a country and will be protected by diplomatic immunity when travelling. The chances of him facing trial for his crimes is minimal.
Diplomatic Immunity just means you can’t be arrested for crimes you commit inside the country you’re visiting. It doesn’t apply to international court tribunals, which are a whole other ball game. If there is an international warrant out for you when you arrive in another country, your only hope is that the country in question doesn’t feel like arresting you. The biggest reason why that may be the case here is Russia’s massive nuclear stockpile. Very few countries will be willing to tango with that.
That said, he’s not an idiot and will probably avoid visiting ICC countries from here on out. The biggest deal about the warrant isn’t that he’ll be arrested anyway. It’s that the world has just gotten a LOT smaller for him, and a lot fewer countries are going to be willing to support his regime.
This is true. Again, the biggest reason why this happens is that the country that is being visited doesn’t want the headache of being the arresting party. A lot of countries have very good reasons for not wanting to do this.
One day down, two to go, and we’ve already hit 120 attendees.
Yes, Canada got a real headache after arresting a Huawei company executive, Meng Wangzhou. Canadians Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor, who were arrested in China nine days after she was arrested in Canada (Dec 2018), were not freed until Sept. 2021.
Yeah, those kind of retaliations from authoritative regimes are commonplace, and are probably the most common reason why countries don’t like arresting individuals with international warrants.
Does not help that these types of regimes like to top it off with torture (or worse, outright murder).
Went down to a very dangerous book TARDIS today, and met my new sister-in-law! She’s my husband’s half-sister on his Dad’s side, but they’re not counting the half. She’s lovely!
Found some interesting books as well. Here’s the find of the day, back when Rovers were good…
Apparently I now have a girlfriend.
And she bought me an Asterix book and has strong opinions about the Persian empire, so… so far so awesome
Oooh, which Asterix? I love Asterix!
What are their opinions on the Persian Empire? I am intrigued as my opinions are mainly focused on the Roman Empire. After all, what have the Romans ever done for us…
We made over $1000 at simcon, more than doubled our attendance, and sold out of tshirts.
My friend introduced me to this self care app called Finch where you can take care of a finch and watch it grow and go on adventures while completing your goals from running 4x a week, to simply getting out of bed. It has quotes to whenever you open the app. The main app is free, but they do have a paid version.
Joseph Olowu has signed a new 2 and a half year contract with Rovers! Excellent news!
Asterix the Legionary. When I was a child I had all the books, but they all disappeared in one of my or my parents’ moves, and I was very sad!
I got a new to me car. She’s a 2008 Honda Accord. She’s has some quirks. But she runs and she can get me to and from work for the next year or so. I can pay her off in a year and start saving for a better car.
