I live in a tiny corner of Scotland that celebrates Halloween the Friday before it instead of on the day itself. I’ve been here for years and I can’t get my head around it.
Anyway, here’s my pumpkin.

I try not to swear too much. But I am the Halloween Grinch, get off my doorstep. No sweets here!
Unfortunately, my wife is very pro-door knocking disturbances. So this is my enforced carving entry because I don’t trust her with anything sharper than a butterknife. (Never learned to cook and therefore never learned knife skills…)

No pumpkin carving here this year, but in past years I have used pumpkin saws— so much safer than a knife, and much better control as well!

I’m going to re-use an old costume idea from when I was in high school if we can found it-a pumpkin costume. If Not, I might be a tourist again (have new hat!) or some other idea Mom has.
