Clerks: Best retail movie of all time

Anyone here seen Clerks? It’s super low-budget and rude but I think it really captures the experience of working retail really well.

Plus it created the “I’m not even supposed to be here today!” meme and for that, I will be eternally grateful.

Clerks was great, Chasing Amy was great, Mallrats not so much, Dogma was good, anything later than that doesn’t compare to these.

I just found out there’s going to be a Clerks III! Not sure how to feel about that but I’ll check it out anyway…

I haven’t seen it in ages, probably back when I was a teenager. I remember I liked it, so I’ll have to find it and watch it again. Thanks for reminding me of it!

Yeah, it’s definitely a proper zero-budget indie classic, and you can tell Kevin Smith was always going to be better at script-writing than directing based on this, but it’s still got some amazing quotable lines. Worth a revisit anytime you want to vent about bad customers!
